In this 3rd instalment of the Missing Middle Housing series, I present Fountain Gate. Located on Fountain Place, set on the eastern river edge of Sandy Hill, this enclave includes a unique collection of houses with varying layouts. All units have their own entrance and have 2-3 levels of space, creating a townhouse-like feel, even though the density is higher. The 2-3 bedroom plans, some with a den, could be suitable for a variety of household compositions.
Originally, the neighbourhood was marketed at Edgecliffe on the Rideau, but was later re-branded to Fountain Gate. At this time the builder may also have changed. From what I can tell, the floor plans remained the same.
