In this latest instalment of my series on the houses in Convent Glen, this post looks at the small enclave of homes built on an "in fill" piece of land originally set aside for a school, and surrounded by houses built a decade or so before. With only 33 homes on Bernice Court, plus 2 on St. Emmanuel Terrace, the neighbourhood is small, but went through a series of builders during the 1990s. It was a tough era for homebuilders where many closed their doors, including two who built in this area. Not all of the plans were built, but it is neat to see what could have been.
The area was first started by Sage Homes c. 1990.

In 1993 Sage Homes went Bankrupt so Woodlea Homes took over, renaming the area Eastwood Park.

Woodlea Homes also went bankrupt in 1995. The neighbourhood was finally completed by Tamarack Homes. They kept the Eastwood Park name. Below are some of the plans that they built in the area.
Stay tuned for my follow up post that will look at East Port Cove, another "in fill" area of homes in Convent Glen, built around the same time.
