During the late 1970s and early 1980s Cadillac Fairview built a series of plans in various Ottawa neighbourhoods. One of my last posts was on the late 1970s houses built in the Bridlewood area of Kanata - including those of Cadillac Fairview ( http://www.modernrealtor.blogspot.ca/2013/11/bridlewood-snapshot-of-late-1970s-design.html ) . The facades in Bridlewood were their most contemporary - while in other neighbourhoods the same plan had a more traditionally-inspired look. Below I will show the floor plans and facades from Barrhaven and Orleans. The houses in Orleans still retain some contemporary aspects, whereas the Barrhaven plans have the most traditional facades. The designs below are presented with the contemporary facade from Bridlewood first, followed by the facade and plan for Chateauneuf Estates/Orleans (where applicable) and then the facade and plan for The Gardens of Barrhaven. * * * * * * ...
